The Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program Individual Consultation Services

The Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program (PECCP) at the Center for Optimal Living offers consultations centered around your unique relationship to psychedelics. These consultations are appropriate for people who are considering using psychedelics or who have already experienced psychedelics and are seeking support in integrating their experiences. Consultation appointments are designed as a stand-alone service, but may also be the point of entry for joining the Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Exploration Group or initiating ongoing individual psychotherapy at the Center. Consultations are provided by Psychologist, either Dr. Elizabeth Nielson or Dr. Ingmar Gorman, both of whom have extensive experience in the field of psychedelic research and clinical trials of psychedelics. For more info about us, please refer to our bios on the psychedelicprogram.com website.

The PECCP Consultation focuses on helping you clarify your relationship to psychedelics and is tailored to your individual needs, level of comfort with and knowledge about psychedelics, and goals related to psychedelic use. If you have already experienced psychedelics and are seeking support with integrating these experiences, our consultation appointments can focus on the nature of your experiences and insights. The consultation session is a safe, open place to discuss your life or experience, what kinds of things you have tried or thought about trying, what kind of support you have, what has worked and what hasn’t, what things would be like if changed the way you anticipate, and what your expectations around psychedelic use are. The therapist supports the process of helping you clarify and refine your personal relationship to psychedelics and goals regarding psychedelic use, drawing on your preferences, relevant clinical and non-clinical research, and experience working with others in psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration. Towards the end of the session we will discuss options for moving forward including community resources, references, integration techniques, and potentially ongoing individual or group therapy at the Center or elsewhere.

We provide a detailed invoice to those who wish to submit a claim to their health insurance for out of network insurance coverage for the consultation appointment.
